Haynesville Shale 3D Seismic 3D Seismic Survey
This is a 3D seismic survey operation. You will recieve a permit request letter. On the back of your permit request letter there will be a
plat map hi-lighting your property. We would like to drill shot holes along the red lines and lay cables or receivers along
the blue lines. When we record the sound or echo's from the shots we will pick up the cables and be gone. In a nut shell here is how it works.
This is a 3D seismic
survey. The red dots on the map are where we would like to drill shot holes. They are 60 feet deep and plugged when completed.
The blue dots represent the cables or receiver lines and they will be on top of the ground. This all takes several months
but the cables are most visible because they will be in place for about 4 weeks. When possible we deliver these request letters, in person, so we
can explain the operations to you.
Here is about how it takes place.
The permit agents are here now securing permission from all of the
land owners. The surveyors will come
in early 2009. They will only be on your property 1 or 2 days. What specific day just depends on how they get to it.
The drills will arrive
a few weeks after the surveyors and if there are holes to be drilled they may be on your property as the surveyors were, 1
or 2 days. Then a couple months will pass before the recorders arrive. When they lay the cables/ receivers out, they will
be in place for about 4 weeks. Then they are picked up and the survey is done. That's about it . If you have any questions there will be a number to call. Regards AT LARGE PERMIT SERVICES Fax 425-871-5792
